The Polyvagal Theory was developed by Dr. Stephen Porges. This is a neurobiological theory in which the vagus nerve plays an important role in regulating our physiological and emotional responses to stressful situations. The vagus nerve has two branches: the ventral vagal and dorsal vagal pathways.

The polyvagal theory suggests that mental health conditions like anxiety and trauma can cause dysregulated vagal responses. As such, clinicians use interventions that regulate the nervous system to promote safety, social connection and emotional regulation. Some exercises are: mindfulness, talk therapies, somatic practices, psychotherapy, etc.

These polyvagal theory worksheets can serve as a great tool for nervous system regulation, to understand how our nervous system reacts to stressful and traumatic events and how to manage during these situations! This workbook has detailed explanations, interactive exercises and practical tools to help you grasp the concepts and apply them to your life and healing journey.

This work includes several worksheets such as:

- What's the polyvagal theory
- Polyvagal ladder theory
- The Vagus nerve
- The human nervous system
- The window of tolerance
- Ventral vagal anchor exercise
- Personal profile map exercise
... and more, for a total of 15 pages.
